Hot address: Le Bistro du Parc

Le Bistro du Parc has been our favourite haunt for the past two years. It’s earned its stripes. You can blame the chic interiors – super-white with pops of blue, and yellow flowers dotting every table. But mostly it’s their cut-no-corners take on French cuisine that’s made them so popular.

On a freezing Delhi evening, we launched right into their new menu – soup was the appetiser of choice. We began with a comforting leek and mushroom veloute with goat’s cheese, which was cheesy, light and warm (like a good hug). The lamb confit with red onion jam and glazed vegetables came highly recommended. And rightly so. The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth good – it might have had something to do with the fact that it was cooked for at least seven hours! It helped that the vegetables were locally sourced from an organic farm in Delhi (Green Bean Farm, if you’d like to pop by). And we finished with a poached pear with vanilla Chantilly and caramel sauce for dessert. No chocolate, though the Rocher is hard to resist.
