These hotels and malls were illuminated in pink to spread awareness about breast cancer

As Breast Cancer Awareness month comes to an end, there is no better moment than the present to reminisce about ELLE’s annual Breast Cancer Campaign event, Illuminations and Window Displays. Leading hotel chains and properties participated in the befitting cause, by illuminating their facades in pink as a symbol of support. The theme continued with the incorporation of the colour in desserts, beverages, buffets, decor and floral arrangements.

This year, over 23 properties, including Le Meridien, Goa, Phoenix Marketcity, Mumbai, Taj Palace, New Delhi, among others showed their dedication to spreading awareness about breast cancer. For instance, Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Karjat, placed pink balloons in the lobby area and served pink muffins at its in-house restaurant, Palms. The staff also donned a pink ribbon throughout the day.

Fancy a pink buffet? Taj City Centre, Gurugram, offered a scrumptious buffet that highlighted hues of pink to show support. The hotel also took to organising an informative breast cancer awareness session for its associates (in collaboration with Fortis).

Mumbai’s popular shopping destination, Phoenix Marketcity, displayed a towering creation made of intricate crystal and mirror work called the Maha Raaga. This incredible installation featured classical musical instruments and three exquisitely bejewelled birds, embedded with speakers, that played traditional royal durbar music.

Join in the fight against breast cancer by getting tested regularly and encourage the women around you to do the same.
