How to: Get the minimal look seen at Dior Cruise 2016
A little goes a long way

Sorbet-hued digits.
“For the manicure I chose three soft shades of Dior Vernis: the classic, natural Muguet, sunny yellow Sunkissed and tender pink Sunwashed,” says Philips (the last two are limited editions for Summer 2015).

All this week, we’ll be finding ways to work Dior Cruise 2016 into conversation. Because, if you hadn’t noticed, we’re kind of obsessed. Especially after what Raf Simons had to say about the line and the iconic venue.
To add to this dizzying excitement, we noticed looks created by make-up legend Peter Philips and hair stylist Guido Palau. And the barely-done vibe of the look is so right for summer. So let’s break it down into easy, achievable steps:
Buzzwords? Fresh and luminous.
“Diorskin Star Fluid Foundation was blended into the skin to give good coverage that remained luminous and transparent,” said Philips. For a hint of colour he used the creamy Diorblush Cheekstick in Rosewood (a limited edition for Autumn 2015), and he blended it into the cheekbones as well as the chin to frame the face. To finish, he used Diorskin Nude Cosmopolite Edition highlighter (a limited edition for Autumn 2015).

Brushed brows and a hint of brown along the eyes.
Philips went shades of skin, and picked the Eye Reviver palette for the eyes. “I used the Primer as a base across the eyelids, then I selected eye shadows depending on skin tone. Next I applied the darkest shade, which is a stronger brown, just along the lash line, but not too heavily.” The lashes? “The lashes were curled, and coated with black Diorshow mascara, while brows were drawn in with Diorshow Brow Styler Gel and tamed with Diorshow Brow Styler.”

Glossy lips, but not quite.
Philips wanted “discreet shine” for which he used the Dior Contour Universel 001 neutral lip liner and Lip Maximizer in Sunrise 006 (limited editions for Summer 2015).
