How to make your eyes pop—without using kajal

Taking a sabbatical from your beloved eyeliner? All the stars seem to be following this trend. Taking a cue from minimalist make-up, celebrities such as Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, and Ananya Panday have been spotted sans eyeliner. So, if you’re tired of wingin’ that wing, or flickin’ that flick, here are five ways you can make your eyes look bigger, without ending up looking tired or under the weather.

1. Highlight

Apply a highlighter or a nude shimmering eye shadow to the inner corners of your eyes and your brow bones. This will instantly make your eyes appear bigger and brighter.

2. Tightline

Cheat a little and use a white or a nude kohl pencil on your bottom lash line to create a slight highlight. This accentuates the eyes and makes you look awake.

3. Brow power

Full shapely brows can help frame the face and the eyes. Shape them by tweezing, waxing, or threading (choose your poison wisely) and then fill in the strays for a fuller effect.

4. Seize the crease

Apply a warm eye shadow hue in matte texture into the crease of your eyes with a fluffy brush. Sweep it on in a windshield wiper motion, from the outer corner to the inner corner of your eyes. This one’s a foolproof technique, we promise.

5. Lash out

Go all out with your eyelashes! This means curl them, prime them, and apply voluminious mascara that’ll fluff them out.
