This season saw the undone look make it big over the perfectly made-up face. Instead of going for full cover, dab the colour on your lips as a stain for a just-kissed look. Else, smudge the outer line of your lips just a little bit using a Q-tip.

Don’t be scared of reds.
Whatever your skin tone, there’s a shade for you. Traditionally, true reds work best on pale complexions, while olive skin calls for brown-reds or mahogany tones. But don’t restrict yourself to these; you’ll never know what suits you best till you actually try it out.

If you can’t find a liner to match your lipstick (and the liner should always, always match), prevent bleeding by swapping it with concealer. Use it around the border of your mouth and over your lips – it will act like a primer and prevent the colour from budging.
