It was refreshing to see actor Ileana D’Cruz on the Lakmé Fashion Week runway as designer Rahul Mishra’s showstopper. Moments before she hit the runway, we caught up with Lakmé expert Daniel Bauer, who created a graphic (yet achievable) look for the actor. “Ileana’s look was about creating a very approachable yet striking look,” says Bauer. We also got him to share just how he did it:
SKIN
“I first prepped the skin using the Lakmé Illuminate Serum. It helps keep the skin looking dewy and well moisturised.”
EYES
“I blended silver and blue eye shadow – working from the inner corner of the eyes – from the Illuminate range to achieve this soft, sea blue colour. I was blending the blue shade outwards, fading it toward the outer eye socket.”
“For the eyelids, I blended the silver and brown shades from the Illuminate eye palette to achieve a light brown shimmer.”
“I picked a brown shade from the new Illuminate Precision Eyeliner range, and applied it on the upper and lower waterline, smudging it a little.”
“I used some silver eyeshadow to apply just a dot on the inner corner of the eyes – to help the eyes shine a little bit more.”
LIPS
“To finish the look, I used the chestnut shimmer lipstick from the new Illuminate range.”
