Jacqueline Fernandez spills her beauty secrets
Plus her favourite breakfast recipe
If, like us, you’ve been a keen follower of Jacqueline Fernandez’ Instagram feed, you’ll know the secret to the actor’s killer curves is a combination of Pilates and regular detoxes. But it doesn’t stop at sipping on green juices; The Body Shop ambassador shares with us some time-tested beauty wisdom and her favourite body care tips for the ultimate cleanse.
ELLE: Which body care products are you currently fixated with?
Jacqueline Fernandez: The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Sorbet – it’s moisturising and cooling without being sticky. Plus, it’s rich in antioxidants so it helps detox your skin. I also like to mix the Green Tea scrub with the body wash for a thorough cleanse.
ELLE: What about your diet? Do you have a favourite go-to breakfast?
JF: While oats are great I’ve recently been eating a lot of quinoa porridge. It’s quick, easy and super healthy. You can make it with fresh homemade almond or soy milk. Add some bananas and blueberries and touch of cinnamon – the fruits are really good for your hair and skin.
ELLE: What’s the secret to your glowing skin?
JF: I’ve had a history of bad skin, so I understand that skin needs high maintenance care. I would say drink lots of water – I have an app on my phone that reminds to stay hydrated all day. Keep a moisturiser, cleanser and sunscreen on you at all times. I also use a Vitamin C eye roll-on – I feel it really helps!
ELLE: The three beauty products we’ll always find in your bag.
JF: A good sunscreen, The Body Shop Vitamin E hydrating body mist and the Tea Tree Oil BB Cream.
ELLE: And what about your favourite beauty tricks?
JF: Icing your face in the morning – yup apparently it works – and patting your cream on your face instead of rubbing it helps your skin soak nutrients better. Always cleanse, tone and moisturise (especially if you have dry skin). And make sure your bag always has a sunscreen and a hydrating mist.
