Jeremy Scott has a thing for trompe l’oeil perfumes. We know this because his most recent for Moschino was a Toy that was not toy. And now for adidas he’s gone on to create a sneaker that’s not a sneaker.
It’s a unisex fragrance, called Wings 2.0 – like the sneakers of the same variety. The eau de toilette will hit shelves on February 1, and will be developed by perfumers Philippe Roques and Maurice Roucel. But expect no more than 10,000 bottles of 75ml – promptly file under limited edition.
It’s believed to have notes of “rose and Calabrian bergamot” with base tones of “white pepper, incense and cashmere” – think of it as a cross between a stew and your grandmother’s cabinet. Comforting or just weird?
