Justin Bieber’s mom defends son from Selena Gomez’s mom in an Instagram post

Justin Bieber’s mum, Pattie Mallette, took to Instagram yesterday to show the world just how much she loves her son. Alongside a picture of the mother-son duo snuggling, overlooking a blue sea and white beach, she wrote a gushing tribute to her singer offspring.

I’m so proud of the amazing young man you are, and the young man you are becoming. None of us are perfect and never will be, (so we will always need patience and grace for each other), but your genuine growing relationship with Jesus is evident in the choices you are making daily and the good “fruit” you bear. I admire your character and integrity. You are maturing beautifully and wise beyond your years. You are so funny that I find myself laughing out loud when I’m alone, remembering of something you said or did. And your heart is gold. I love you to the moon and back. #lovemom . Ps. Did I mention I was proud of you? . . . . . . . #love #happyplace #paradise #vacation

The touching message, evidencing her love for her only son, has also been seen by many as a protective move by the Canadian author. Some are speculating the Mallette’s message might be in response to her son’s beau’s mother’s (keep up now) comments.

Selena Gomez’s mother, Mandy Teefey, has been reported to be disapproving of her daughter and Bieber’s rekindled romance. Back in December of last year Teefy and Gomez unfollowed each other on Instagram following a rumoured argument about the 25 year-old’s relationship with Bieber

In January Gossip Cop reported that Teefey told them she was ‘not happy’ with the pairing.

She apparently said that she had not spoken to the ‘Sorry’ singer, even via text, in ‘years.’ Though she does acknowledge her adult daughter’s independence, ‘Selena can live her life however she wants as long as she is happy, safe and healthy.’

Either way, a mother’s got to have her son’s back, right?
