Whether its fashion, beauty or fitness–we’re always taking inspiration from our favourite celebrities. And we’re always taking notes when they talk about the food they reach out for when hunger hits. After binge eating banana bread and chugging mugs of dalgona coffee, we’re taking a page out of actor Kajal Aggarwal’s book and turning to healthy treats. The actor is a health enthusiast and super disciplined when it comes to staying fit. Through her Instagram, we have learnt that Kajal has been cooking up a storm in her kitchen and tbh, the food looks delicious. Below, find a round-up of the healthy recipes we’ll be recreating …
The memo: Uttapam but make it even healthier. Top up your usual uttapam with protein-rich paneer and some blanched spinach. This green leafy vegetable is packed with vitamins A, C and K and has antioxidants that fight free radical damage. Kajal recommends amping up the flavours by pairing it with coconut and mint and coriander chutney.
Buckwheat chocolate chip pancakes
Kajal Aggarwal credits powerhouse chef Kelvin Cheung for inspiring her to whip up these gluten-free, vegan pancakes. Steal the Chef’s recipe below…

Combat midday cravings with a paleo and gluten- and sugar-free carrot cake. Not only will this tea time snack crush your hankering for sugar (carrots are very high in natural sugar) but will also deliver nutrients like manganese (lowers cholesterol), magnesium and calcium (great for bone health). She has listed out the exact recipe in her post but if you’re looking to bake an eggless cake, we recommend substituting each egg with one tablespoon of flax seeds and three tablespoons of water.
