Kajol has played many iconic characters over the years. From the shy Simran in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (who single-handedly made the unibrow cool!) to the chirpy Anjali in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (remember that awkward bob?). Her movies hit the mark, but her fashion choices took some warming up. Her red carpet moments through the years have only gotten more memorable; with more hits than misses along the way. Today, you’ll find Kajol wearing designs by everyone from Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi, to Masaba and Anamika Khanna. Even Dev r Nil and Ekà have found their way into her wardrobe. She’s always well turned out, elegant and poised. Comfort however, still remains a priority and that’s evident in her choices. “When I was acting, I was always told what to wear. Only later I realised it was because I never really had an opinion on what I should be wearing,” says Kajol. Clearly, that has changed now. “Having an opinion on fashion isn’t really rocket science.” – We agree! – “It was just a matter of really looking into it and figuring out what I liked.”
