Kallol Datta's Elysium collection
From your wardrobe to your home space, Kallol Datta and Nachiket Barve are leaving their creative imprint everywhere. For their latest, the designers have tied up with Bombay Dyeing to create an exclusive range of bedding and bath products.
Having previously partnered with Sabyasachi and Wendell Rodricks, the home brand is continuing their alliance with fashion designers to infuse their collection with a sartorial edge. And the results seem promising. Barve’s Toxin collection takes inspiration from poisonous creatures and incorporates bright colours and vibrant prints, while his Lightness of Being range, in contrast, features pretty pastels and delicate floral motifs. Datta, too, has released two collections – Elysium and Artisanal. While the former focuses on graphic prints and also features his original artworks, the latter is more sombre, with a largely monochromatic palette. “The products have turned out edgy and playful; just what India’s well-informed youth would connect with,” said Datta.
The collections will be available at Bombay Dyeing outlets from August 12.
