Kangana Ranaut made a front row appearance last week at the Dior show, at Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2015. More on that in a bit; for now, let’s rewind to the show for a second. Especially since it was new territory for Dior’s creative director Raf Simons. It’s not often you see him warm up to florals. So when he did, he took it “away from the garden and the flower, to something more liberated, dark and sexual”. The marbled prints, the patent leather, the fringed skirts all brought in a strong femininity. The boyfriend coats were also a “romantic juxtaposition” for Simons. The neon-heeled leather shoes were another huge talking point of the show. Ranaut witnessed it all in from the front row – and even met Simons backstage. She also rubbed shoulders with Diane von Furstenberg, and partied (a lot!) through the rest of the week with Kalyani Saha Chawla of Dior.
