In a recent Facebook post, the celebrity dietician talked about three simple and natural ways to combat the scorching summer heat. These age-old techniques will remind you of the wisdom your grandmother always imparted.

3 ways to beat the summer heat, according to Rujuta Diwekar:

1. Neem leaves

"Soak a handful of neem leaves in bathing water. It prevents dandruff and black heads on the face," advises Rujuta.

2. Curd

"Eat dahi or chaas with lunch to prevent an afternoon slump and keep the sweet tooth under check," she recommends.

3. Khus Roots

"Add vala or khus roots in your drinking water to tighten pores on the face and prevent body odour," says Rujuta.
