Kareena Kapoor Khan’s snack before hitting the ramp is the opposite of what you’d expect

Does her dietitian know about this?

Kareena Kapoor Khan, the queen of healthy eating, the creator of the gym look, would never touch something that’s basically a time bomb of carbs and saturated fat, right? Wrong. We spoke to the star at the Taj Lands End hotel in Bandra, right before she hit the Lakme Fashion Week ramp for Anamika Khanna’s Spring/Summer ’18 show, and among other fun confessions, we found out Kareena Kapoor Khan’s snack to keep her ramp energy high is… a plate of French fries.

If you were expecting a handful of makhana or a hydrating gallon of fresh coconut water, perhaps a green smoothie full of healthy-sounding unmentionables, you’ll be pleased to know that even blue-blooded Bollywood stars can’t resist a serious case of the munchies.

Of course, not one ounce of those five-star french fries showed on the Kareena’s svelte frame, which is exactly why she shells out big bucks to train with Pilates warrior Namrata Purohit. A workout plan that allows you an entire plate of French fries right before a major red carpet event? We can get on board with that.

Here how much Kareena Kapoor Khan’s trainer costs

Cindy Jourdain

The former ballerina now spends her day whipping Katrina Kaif into shape for everything from her fighting sequences to bikini scenes. Her weapon of choice? Cindy’s Bootcamp, a unique mix of martial arts, yoga and ballet supplemented with kettle bells and battle ropes. If you’re up for the challenge, drop by her studio for Rs 1,200 per session, or sign up for 12 classes at Rs 12,000.

The Space: Near Harry's Bar, AB Nair Rd, Juhu Tara, Mumbai. Tel: 98920 35182

Radhika Karle

Personal trainer to Sonam Kapoor and Huma Qureshi, there’s a reason why Radhika Karle, and her A-list clientele, swear by Pilates.  “This exercise form works on realigning your body to the way it was when you were born. Bad posture and lifestyle destroy the body’s basic alignment and Pilates corrects this,” says Karle. Huma echoes the sentiment, “I don’t practise Pilates to look good; I do it to feel good.”

A life-enhancing Pilates session with Radhika will cost you Rs 5,000 (plus taxes). If you’re in it for the long run, sign up for a monthly package of Rs 48,000 (plus taxes).

Balanced Body: 313 'Tanaya' Ground Floor, Nanda Patkar Road, Ville Parle (E), Mumbai. Tel:  2613 8588/89.

Namrata Purohit

As the youngest Stott Pilates trainer in the world (at the age of 16), Namrata was clearly destined for great things. That she made loyal, return customers of stars like Jacqueline Fernandez, Kangana Ranaut and Malaika Arora Khan among others, comes as no surprise.

A monthly roster of 12 one-on-one Pilates sessions with Namrata comes at Rs 32,000. That infectious smile and boundless energy though? Absolutely free.

The Pilates and Altitude Training Studio: 303/304 Business Plaza, SB Patil Road, Potohar Nagar, Santacruz (W), Mumbai. Tel: 98211 54492

Anshuka Parwani

New momma Kareena Kapoor Khan owes her fitness transformation to Anshuka’s brainchild, FlyFit: A mixture of anti-gravity yoga and aerial Pilates. Signing up for twelve one-on-one sessions will cost you INR 36,000. Oh, and there’s always the chance that you'll bump into Kareena, Malaika, Amrita and the rest of their fit girl squad on your way in.

Anshuka Yoga: Vandana Bungalow, Plot 360, 16th road, Bandra (W), Mumbai. Tel: 98208 73167
