Over the years, some of our favourite A-list celebrities have opened up about the pressure to lose weight postpartum and the ridiculous standards that society puts on women to “bounce back” after giving birth.
So, we must admit, it’s rather refreshing to hear about how Kate Middleton ensures she stays fit and healthy following the births of her three children.
HELLO! reports that during her visit to New Delhi, India, to attend a garden party for the Queen’s 90th birthday in 2016, the then mother-of-two was asked by fellow guest, Prof BulBul Dhar-James, how she shed her baby weight so swiftly following the birth of Princess Charlotte.
The Duchess of Cambridge replied: “I am running after my kids.”
No crazy diets, no juice cleanses, no unrealistic weight goals and fitness regimes — just a simple run around with the children is Kate’s secret to post-pregnancy weight loss.
With rumours the new mum took Prince George to school just one day after giving birth to Prince Louis in April, and snaps of the royal running about with her eldest children at a recent charity polo match, we can only imagine Kate is run off her feet with her brood.
The Duchess also recently revealed her love of “simple family moments” with her children.
In an open letter to support Children’s Hospice Week in May, Kate revealed: “Spending quality time together is such an important aspect of family life and for me, as a mother, it is the simple family moments like playing outside together that I cherish.”
Kate Middleton gave birth to Prince Louis on 23 April and celebrated the little one’s christening earlier this month at in the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace.
