Last month, Kensington Palace announced the news that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were expecting their third child, but that the new mother-to-be was suffering yet again from hyperemesis gravidarum — excessive nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.
From mint and toast to acupuncture and exercise, women around the world will attest to a whole host of natural remedies to help cure morning sickness.
But it sounds like Kate Middleton has taken matters into her own hands and has found relief in eating something you probably eat at your grandma’s house.
Speaking to guests at a charity reception and awards ceremony for the Metropolitan and City Police Orphans Fund at London’s Guildhall, Prince William said Kate was ‘feeling better’ but the ginger hadn’t helped much.
When 98-year-old Iris Orrell asked after the Duchess, William replied: ‘She’s been feeling better, thank you,’ HELLO! reports.
Iris reportedly told William she had also suffered from severe morning sickness when she was pregnant and was advised to eat dry biscuits.
However, William admitted Kate had already tried that but to no avail.

“Ginger biscuits,” he said. “But there’s not much ginger can do to stop that. We’ve done all that.”
Ginger is a known morning sickness natural remedy with gingerols and shogaols that helps a lot in giving relief from nausea and vomiting by neutralising stomach acids.
We hope the Duchess will be feeling better by next month when she’s expected to make her first public appearance since her pregnancy was announced.
Last week, Kensington Palace confirmed the Duchess will attend a reception on World Mental Health Day with William and Prince Harry at Buckingham Palace on 10 October.
Kate, if you need to get rid of those ginger biscuits, we have a whole office full of baked goods fans willing to take them off your hands.
