In the past, Katrina Kaif has carved a niche with her dancing abilities in songs such as Kamli (Dhoom 3) and Sheila ki Jawani (Tees Maar Khan). And in her newest movie Thugs of Hindostan, the star has outdone herself. Featuring in two songs, Katrina twists her lithe body in liberal doses, pirouettes and pulls off all sorts of complex sequences that you can only dream of.
Don’t believe us? Check her out in the song Suraiyya:

Katrina makes it look easy but behind the glamorous video are hours of practice where she struggled to get choreographer Prabhu Deva’s moves right. “When I first saw the choreography for Suraiyya, I was like is it jazz, is it ballet, is it folk… but that’s dancing with Prabhudeva. He spent a lot of time with me in rehearsals helping me figure the style, I loved it all (apart from a few moments of tears of frustration) but in the end it was the hook step which we had so much fun with,” she says on Instagram.
Katrina also admits to being unsure of this dizziness-inducing jump and twirl. “This step was a bit tough to do beyond a point in rehearsals, I practiced a few times, the team explained me the technique but still it was tough to do repeatedly, so I really wasn’t confident of the step,” Katrina posted on Instagram.
Oh, and there’s Manzoor-e-Khuda too.
