Look like Cupid’s in reconciliation mode. News broke today of Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor arranging secret meetings at friends’ houses, allowing the hopeless romantics among us to declare a big reunion. The two are probably wary of prematurely announcing a rekindled romance, but we’re hoping these celebrity couples provide them with enough inspiration to see it through.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma
‘Virushka’ hit a speed bump after Twitter trolls targeted Anushka for Virat’s poor performance on the cricket field. The duo went their separate ways and Virat took to Instagram to celebrate his single life. They have since found their way back together and were recently spotted holding hands in public, while simultaneously reaffirming our faith in love.
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid
There was a time when this pop culture romance took on a life of its own on the internet. Then reports emerged that Gigi showed Zayn the door after catching the pop star out in a couple of lies. But if the Instagram PDA is anything to go by, they are back together and very much in love, thank you.
Drake and Rihanna
They were together, then they weren’t and then Drake bought Rihanna a giant billboard to congratulate her on her MTV VMAs honour. If that confused you, then join the club. Drake and Rihanna had fans on their toes with the status of their rollercoaster relationship. Since first hooking up in 2009, they’ve broken up and got back together more often than Ross and Rachel in Friends. As of now, they are not together (again) and Drake is reportedly dating Taylor Swift.
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel
Jessica and Justin weren’t always the embodiment of #RelationshipGoals that they are now. The couple, who first started dating in 2007, hit a rough patch four years later with rumours of Justin cheating on Jessica with Olivia Munn. They parted ways soon after, only to return to each other within the span of a few months. Now married with a baby, the strength of this relationship has many (and we mean many) Instagram posts to show for it.
Prince William and Kate Middleton
This fairytale romance very nearly had a tragic ending. The college sweethearts — William apparently fell for Kate after seeing her take the ramp at a fashion show — fell victim to the prince’s hectic schedule as a royal. The pair broke up in 2007, but soon decided that they were better (looking) together. Fast forward to 2016, where Kate is everybody’s favourite jeans-wearing, cricket-bat-swinging modern princess. Say what, Disney?
Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo
Adam Levine had turned the Victoria’s Secret catalogue into his personal Tinder, so nobody expected his fledgeling relationship with Behati, 10 years his junior, to last more than one fashion season. The cynics almost had their moment of affirmation when the two briefly parted ways — the man needed one last go at that damn catalogue — but were ultimately proven wrong after Levine put a ring on it in in 2014. The couple welcomed their genetically gifted baby, Dusty Rose, last month.
