How much can you read into this photo of Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan?
A lot, as it turns out…
Katrina Kaif is relatively new to Instagram. Unsurprisingly, each and every post by her has been analyzed by amateur detectives littered across the internet. So when she uploaded this seemingly innocent photo a few hours ago, we knew those desi Sherlocks would be working overtime to figure out what’s going on between her and Salman Khan.
Are they getting back together? Or are they just ramping up the promotional machinery for their upcoming film Tiger Zinda Hai? The possibilities are vast and endless.
If you recall, we were the first to uncover the truth behind this Hrithik and Sussanne reunion, so we decided to turn our keen investigative eye onto Katrina’s latest Instagram post and figure out just how much we can read into it. You’re welcome.
Katrina Kaif has used a black and white filter
Let’s start with the glaringly obvious. Katrina could have used a number of filters. Valencia? Nashville? Or even Reyes? But she used a black-white filter that everyone knows is only associated with intense emotions. This is one of the ‘Unspoken Rules of Social Media’, no lies. Any photo becomes more romantic and intense if you render it in black and white. For instance, a regular picture of a cluttered desk indicates that you’re a slob. A black-and-white picture of a cluttered desk indicates deep-seated displacement and abandonment issues. The evidence is right there.
Katrina and Salman are mirroring each other’s pose
We stressed on the importance of studying the body language of people under your scanner time and again during the Hrithik-Sussanne investigation. The basic principle is that couples in love often mirror each other’s pose unconsciously. They also post disgustingly cute posts on social media to make us feel inadequate, but that’s a rant for another day. If you take 2 seconds out of the valuable time you’ve already spent on analyzing yet another celebrity post, then you’ll see that they’re sitting almost exactly like each other. We showed this image to no body language expert and concluded that this must be a major clue hinting towards their possible reunion.
Katrina has written no caption for the post
There are many things we’ve learnt from Disney princesses over the years. Belle has taught us that beauty is never skin deep, Cinderella taught us that having sample-sized feet means that you will marry rich and Ariel taught us that love can take your ability to speak. You see where we’re going with this? A quick look through Katrina’s other Instagram posts show that they’ve all been captioned. All, except the one with Salman Khan. We invite you to draw your own conclusions here.
The Instagram comments that never lie
It’s 2017 and the only judgment we deserve and believe in is that of people we’ve never met in our lives who go out of their way to leave comments on our Instagram posts. These people are pure and almost never wrong. Now how can you think @salmankatrinalove.fc could have any other agenda but to state the truth, without any exaggeration, when commenting on the post with a ‘lovely couple’?
5 other low-key Bollywood couples
Ok, we promise these couples aren’t figments of our overactive imaginations.
This photo of Sara Ali Khan and Harshvardhan Kapoor went viral recently and has fuelled loud rumours that they’re actually dating. The speculations reportedly began when the couple was spotted together outside Saif Ali Khan’s house, which Harshvardhan has no apparent reason to be lurking outside of.
Harshvardhan kept fans guessing after he posted a photo of a mysterious girl with her back to the camera, mushily captioned, “Find beauty in everyday life and let it inspire you. Don't forget to capture these frames and mark them as memories forever. You can always use your loved ones as subjects but keep them a mystery nonetheless.” When the comments flooded in with people identifying the mystery girl as Sara, Harshvardhan promptly deleted it helping no one, especially not his feeble efforts to deny their relationship.
Designer Natasha Dalal and Varun Dhawan have apparently been dating even before the actor debuted in Bollywood with Student of the Year. They’ve kept their relationship low-key but regularly attend events and parties together (remember when they became honorary Kapoors for Anil Kapoor’s birthday bash in London last year?). Varun has gone on record to say that while he doesn’t believe in denying the fact that he is dating her, he doesn’t want his personal life to detract attention from his work. The latest update on the couple is that they might be planning to get married by next year.
Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani have denied rumours of their relationship until they’ve gone blue in their chiseled faces. But ever since they appeared in a music video together, it’s hard to refute claims that the two are romantically involved. They’ve been spotted across the city on dates and have arrived at several Bollywood bashes, including Manish Malhotra’s much-talked about party, together. Disha does not like to talk about her personal life, especially Tiger, and in an interview with Mid-Day, claimed that it's because she fears that people would ‘slut-shame her if the relationship 'doesn’t work out’.
