Khloe Kardashian’s family asked her to lose weight because they believed it was ruining their brand, the star has revealed. Khloe opened up on her show Revenge Bodies about how her family pressured her to lose weight to improve their public image. (She posted the clip on her Instagram story.)

“[They said] “Khloé, you got to lose weight ’cause you’re really hurting the brand”, she recalled, before adding, “I’m a huge believer of it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it… I understand that was coming from my management side of my family, but it does hurt.”

Khloe, 33, and her sisters Kourtney, 38, Kim, 37, Kendall, 22, and Kylie, 20, as well as brother Rob, 30, are all managed by momager Kris Jenner, 62.

This comes as Khloe previously opened up to PEOPLE about how she let trolls labeling her “the fat, funny sister” impact her mental health, commenting, “Being compared to my sisters is something I was used to.

“But being compared in such a harsh way I just thought, ‘Okay, that’s my role’. So I started saying it before people. I was like, ‘Okay, I’m the fat, funny sister. Who cares?’ I almost let that take ownership of me. I wasn’t fat; I wasn’t obese, but I would let society make me believe I was.”

Fashion trends we owe to Khloe Kardashian and her sisters

Nude and muted tones

Kim has admitted that when she married Kanye West, he suggested she bring in a new stylist to revamp her wardrobe. One of the noticeable changes was her move from bolder colours to muted, nude tones. The neutral colour palette has started somewhat a of a sexier, cleaner trend. Pale pinks, skin tones, bright whites and washed-out greys have set the tone for a whole new wave of dressing.

Contouring

While contouring has been around forever, it existed largely in the domain of professional shoots, rather than clogging up your Instagram feed. Now, the 'flawless selfie' look achieved by defining the cheekbones, slimming down the nose and shortening the forehead has become part of daily make-up routines.

Co-ords

While there's nothing revolutionary about pairing a matching top with a bottom, there is something to be said for how the Kardashians have taken the co-ords game to new heights. Like most of their clothes, co-ords are ideal for highlighting the waist and accentuating the curves. The break in the fabric also allows for just the right amount of skin to peep through while covering all the essentials. Tube tops with palazzo pants, bodycon co-ords and track pants with sports bras have all become part of the Kardashian wardrobe rotation.

Underwear as outerwear

Ever try on lingerie so sexy you wish more people could see you in it? To be fair, that’s probably what went through Kim Kardashian West's mind the first time she put on innerwear as outerwear. Corsets teamed with track pants, cami nighties as dresses and bras under open jackets... Leaving your house in your underwear has never been more acceptable or stylish.

Lips as a statement piece

Fuller lips may have become an international sensation ever since an adult Angelina Jolie debuted her infamous pout, but Kylie Jenner's lips created an industry dedicated to making your lips larger, including sucking on shot glasses, Korean lip plumpers, lip-contour kits and the art of over-lining. Kylie's lips have achieved independent celeb status and even endorsed the hero of her make-up line, The Kylie Jenner Lip Kit.

Sheer blacks

Only Kim could wear a colour as solid as black and make it look nude. During the transition from colour to neutral tones, Kim also changed the way we see — or don't see — black. Black in the form of lace, mesh and net, just sheer enough to see the outline of a limb. While sheer gowns are having a moment, the contrast of black on nude is a Kim signature.
