With Boney Kapoor’s recent admission that his youngest daughter, Khushi Kapoor, had shifted her focus from modelling to acting, it was only a matter of time that we heard about her upcoming debut. Considering that she’s the daughter of the late superstar Sridevi and sister of debutante Janhvi Kapoor — whose first film Dhadak skyrocketed to success — we were expecting one big spectacle. And turns out, that’s exactly what director and producer Karan Johar is planning too.
According to recent reports, the young starlet will be starring opposite another celebrity kid who’s yet to make his debut… We’re talking about the heir apparent to King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan’s empire, Aryan Khan.
“Khushi will be launched sooner rather than later, and that too by Karan Johar. Karan’s taken over that responsibility from Boney. Though Khushi’s debut is being kept a well-guarded secret, they’ve already started looking for a suitable script,” the source said. The source added that the dream debut was being planned keeping Aryan in mind. “That’s Karan’s game plan. Let’s see how it goes,” they said.
The 20-year-old is an exact replica of his father, and we’re hoping apart from the good looks and genes, Aryan has also inherited SRK’s acting skills. Meanwhile, Janhvi has proven her mettle in Dhadak, so the odds are in Khushi’s favour. And knowing KJo — who’s successfully launched not only her sister, but also Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and will soon be launching Ananya Pandey in Student of the Year 2 — we have a feeling that this is going to be one extravagant film with OTT elements.
