Khushi Kapoor’s gorgeous dress will give you the hourglass shape of your dreams
A look you can put together with your eyes closed
Khushi Kapoor is clearly following in the footsteps of her older sister Jahnvi — who is all set for her big Bollywood debut this July — and the rapid pace at which the young starlet is progressing is a sign that she’s prepping for her big Bollywood breakthrough. Thanks to her mother Sridevi’s fashion connections, the duo were exposed to the likes of Manish Malhotra and Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla right from the start. And though the sisters have always maintained their good taste in fashion, we’re loving Khushi’s experimental style.
Out and about in Mumbai, the 17-year-old chose to wear a dainty pastel pink halter neck midi dress with a ruffled bodice that she styled with a nude sling bag and nude wedges. A minimal gold monogrammed necklace and a cuff completed her look. This dress works wonders for small-chested girls as it accentuates the waist and lends an hourglass shape. The halter neckline creates a voluptuous shape, and brings attention to toned shoulders and arms.
From the choice of colours to the fuss-free hair and make-up, Khushi’s look is elegant and nonchalant, making it the perfect daywear ensemble for a late brunch or a coffee date with your girlfriends.
Just a fortnight back, Khushi gave everyone a jolt with her bold Falguni and Shane Peacock gown. Dressed by celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri, we’re sure she’s got her on speed dial now.
Khushi looks like a supermodel in the making…
Decked out in the family’s favourite couturier, Manish Malhotra.
Incredible taste runs in the family, after all.
Meet Bollywood’s most stylish sister duo:
The late superstar Sridevi's daughters, Janhvi and Khushi, are bona fide Instagram celebrities already, thanks to their insane style cred. We dare you to tell us that this little black-and-white snap isn't giving you lowkey Kardashian vibes already.
Like any good sister duo, they don their designer threads together and then share the limelight together. Note the safe arm's length distance; no jostling for space in the front camera for a cramped selfie. These are two individuals who have enough faith in themselves, and in their father's taste in real estate, to fan out over the room and still command equal attention.
While Janhvi's idea of sheer is a graphic number by Temperley London...
Together they stand, in sickness and in health. And in the faux fur checkout queue.
To conclude, all that glitters may not be gold. But it is definitely the photogenic Kapoor clan.
Being the close-knit pair that they are, they test-drive the same trend together. High-waisted pants for deux, please.
We swear, they couldn't be more co-ordinated if they lugged around a colour-coded binder with an hour-by-hour inventory of the perfect twinning outfits.
Needless to say, that good taste in clothes runs to their choice in friends as well: Manish Malhotra has taken both the Kapoor daughters under his wing. That's the cast of the next two Student of the Year instalments right there, Karan Johar. Might as well relieve your casting director of his duties.
Khushi is glad to give feminine florals a whirl.
