“Pieces like ours that carry an individual viewpoint are part of a very new category”, says Manreet Deol, who worked in product design for over a decade before she co-founded the jewellery label with her brother, Samraat. The open-form, nature-centric pieces are handcrafted and each has a full-bodied weight; creative director Deol sculpts designs in clay, small batches of which are then cast in brass and aluminium. Manifest Design has been spotted on celebrities like Whoopi Goldberg and Shraddha Kapoor and last October, it was selected to retail from the Metropolitan Museum of Art gift shop in New York. Next in the pipeline are a men’s line and wearable technology.
