The learning curve has been steep for Prasad Ramamurthy, who launched his label nearly a year ago. He doesn’t have formal design training, so he’s immersed in learning the technical language used by pattern-makers and tailors, apart from figuring out the business end for Tät, which currently puts out a small but well-executed collection. We particularly love the menswear range, which would also look good on most girls: shorts and button-downs in Indian textiles like kora, gamcha, ikat, ajrak and daboo; block-printed bowties and leather wallets. Next on Ramamurthy’s wish list is an online store to take Tät to a bigger audience.
