Following viral trends from the runways of the hottest fashion capitals of the world (remember the towering platform heels seen at the Valentino show in Paris?), all eyes will now turn to the bustling city of London. And this time around, London Fashion Week returns with a complete digital makeover from Feb 19 to 23. The best part? Watch out for Indian fashion designers Kaushik Velendra (who will be new to the LFW schedule) and Supriya Lele’s stellar creations.

If, like us, you’re set to absorb every ounce of sartorial entertainment from the screen, then hear us out. Bringing the best of designers with their Fall 2021 showcase, this season will see an amalgamation of womenswear and menswear into one presentation. To be precise, get ready to witness the magic and exceptional creativity from a total of 95 designers. Dates and stats aside here’s everything that you can look forward to at the show.

Which Designers Are Presenting?

Highlights this season include collection launches and digital events from established designers and international luxury fashion houses alike. From the likes of Victoria Beckham, Emilia Wickstead, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Simone Rocha, Dunhill to Molly Goddard, expect sartorial excess from top-notch creative brains in the industry.

For enthusiasts of emerging talent and fresher perspectives, watch out for designers like APUJAN, BMUET(TE), GEO, IA London, JENN LEE, MAXXIJ, Mithridate, Tokyo James and Yuhan Wang among many others.

Are Indian Designers Showcasing At London Fashion Week 2021?

British-Indian designer Supriya Lele is not new to the runways of LFW. With her iconic, sensual yet playful aesthetic in almost every ensemble, the designer will return this season with another showcase. Indian designer who will be new to this schedule is Kaushik Velendra who has dressed the likes of Bollywood heartthrob Ranveer Singh.

What About Shopping The Looks?

For the first time, a new highlight for this season will be a focus on designers who will be open for wholesale purchase. This new, additional feature will notify buyers with a roster of brands from where they can place wholesale orders.

What About Other Homegrown, Emerging Designers?

In its first initiative, DiscoveryLAB is going digital, with the aim to support emerging designers who do not yet meet the main schedule criteria. DiscoveryLAB was created as an experiential space where fashion meets art, technology, music, and this will continue to evolve in the digital capacity. Expect two to three daily 10-minute digital sessions, resulting in 12 DiscoveryLAB slots in total.

Here’s the provisional schedule announced by the British Fashion Council.
