Children of the Nineties, hold on to your Keds. The Simpsons-M.A.C range is out, and it’s the cutest ever. We expected slightly out-there make-up, given the blue-and-yellow theme, but most of what we’ve seen of the 10-piece collection looks pretty wearable.
During our online research (stalking sessions), we spotted two eyeshadow quartets: one with pastel pink, purple, blue and grey – perfect for a coloured smoky eye. And another summery-fresh one with a pastel green, yellow, beige and indigo. The blushes are standard pink and coral-pink shades. But the kookiest thing we’ve seen is a yellow lip gloss called ‘Nacho Cheese Explosion’, though we’re sure it’s more shine than pigment. Other glosses in the range are punchy candy colours like Red Blazer (a pink-red), Grand Pumpkin (orange) and Itchy & Scratchy & Sexy (bright pink).
Other fun things include a set of Simpsons-themed nail wraps that we think nail bloggers will go ga-ga over, and a pair of falsies. What’s fun is all of them come in collectible casings with a close-up of Marge’s eyes and trademark blue hair. What’s not, is that unless you’re at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 26 for their one-day preview and sale, you’ll have to wait till some time in September, when it hits shelves.
