Tribal fusion by MadSam TinZin at Lakme Fashion Week

We've seen fashion designers seek inspiration from the farthest corners of the country this Lakme Fashion Week. As a further reminder to keep our eyes - and our hearts - always open, MadSam TinZin brought the beauty of mountain dwellers of Ladakh to the ramp.

Cue a flurry of ombré smock coats, asymmetrical trapeze dresses and sunshine sheaths. Draped silhouettes took the formality out of summer wear; sheer cover-ups brought the ivory hues alive. As a finishing touch, the models strutted down the runway with ornate floral headgear and silver tribal accessories in tow.
