ICYMI, e-commerce website Jabong.com recently launched a new commercial for their ‘Be You’ campaign. Every look defies convention in an ad that’s essentially celebrates individuality. Directed by Harvey Brown, it features a total of nine models with 68 different looks by make-up artist Daniel Bauer – all in under 16 hours! “The entire production worked like a well-timed conveyor belt, with models walking to their mark, with three others primed in the wings, and the remaining five in other stages of getting their hair and make-up done,” said Bauer. The models went through a rehearsal and look test a day prior to ensure a smooth shoot. “I wanted to create unconventional looks, play with androgyny and unconventional attitudes. We gave equal importance to the male models as to the female, without a single stereotypical look or model in the mix. Expect men with braided hair, flashes of Ziggy Stardust-inspired looks, and even diamonte encrusted eyebrows.
