5 make-up hacks that will give you Deepika Padukone’s glow
We asked, and you voted! In a recent poll we conducted, 60% of you said that you’d like to be able to recreate Deepika Padukone’s latest make-up look. And why not? It’s subtle, easy to do, and can help you transition from day to night effortlessly. So here it is—a break-down of her gorgeous glow.
HACK 2: Gloss it up
Remember the clear lip gloss we all loved dearly in the early 2000s? Add a little of that (not the same one obviously) to your cheekbones and cupid’s bow for dramatic skin shine.

HACK 3: Illuminate away
If you're feeling extra fabulous, then mix a subtle liquid illuminator into your base product. Blend it evenly across the face. You can even top off your cheekbones with a shimmering highlighter for a more dramatic dewy effect.
L'Orèal Paris True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator, Rs 765
HACK 4: Layer. Layer. Layer.
Layering skincare is good; layering make-up is GREAT! Who said you can’t blush and glow at the same time? After applying a light blush on the apples of your cheeks, define them even further with a highlighter. The added shine increases the intensity of the blush.
Clinique Cheek Pop, Rs 2,300
HACK 1: Mix & Match
Add a few drops of face oil to your foundation before blending it into your skin. Mix it well and apply it on your face and neck—you can increase the concentration of the oil around your cheekbones to give them a slightly more exaggerated glow. Use a moist blending sponge instead of a brush during application.
L'Occitane En Provence Immortelle Reset Serum, Rs 3,980
HACK 5: Find your light
Use natural light to guide your highlight. In line with the beauty mantra ‘less is more’, subtly highlight the areas where the light naturally hits your face and apply minimal product on them. This includes your cheekbones, brow bones, bridge of the nose and cupid’s bow.
