The backbone of any bridal entourage has got to be the bride-to-be’s BFF. Between choreographing the performances and keeping Bridezilla’s nerves in check, the best bridesmaid makes the bride the focus, often neglecting herself. While the outfits might be sorted, the make-up probably isn’t—this leaves you with no options, but to resort to the same ol’ smokey eye. Fret not! Navreet Josan, MAC’s National Make-up Artist breaks down three easy-to-recreate looks for different wedding events—one less thing to worry about on your bestie’s “D-day”.
WeddingSTEP 1: After setting your base, apply a black eyeshadow on the outer corners of your eyes. Blend it in with a brown hue and create a neat smokey gradient.
STEP 2: Apply a golden copper hue on the centre of lids, all the way to the inner corners of your eyes. Top it off with a thick winged liner. Mascara and strong brows will tie in the look perfectly.
STEP 3: Lightly contour your cheekbones and add a touch of blush to define it even further.
STEP 4: Give your look that glam touch with a cherry red matte lip.
MehendiSTEP 1: Once you're done setting your base, begin by prepping your eyes with an eye primer. Contour your eyelids with a deep brown hue and blend the shade really well. Top it off with a shiny glitter eyeshadow, right in the centre of your lid and blend it out to create a smooth finish.
STEP 2: Add a splash of colour by lining your eyes with an electric blue eyeliner pencil. Ensure that the line is nice and thick.
STEP 3: Coat your lashes with a volumising mascara to add more definition to the look.
STEP 4: Finish off the look with a dusty nude pink lip colour.
CocktailSTEP 1: Set your base with a hydrating primer and foundation.
STEP 2: Fill in your top and bottom lash line with a strong black eye pencil. Fill in your eye contours with a black eyeshadow that will intensify the kohl line. Add a brown hue to your eyes to create dimension. Ensure you blur out any defined lines, to create a smoother effect.
STEP 3: Top off your lashes with copious amounts of mascara.
STEP 4: Tie in the look with a light highlight on your cheekbones and nude brown lip.
