Manish Arora’s new flagship store in Paris
It’s been seven years since Manish Arora moved to Paris. Since then, he’s shown regularly at Paris Fashion Week and even had a stint with Paco Rabanne. And now, the designer establishes his love for the French capital with the launch of his first store in the city. This comes after the success of his Galeries Lafayette corner and of the Galerie Joyce pop-up shop in 2013. " I am convinced it was time for us to move on. It has been already more than seven years and the next step would have been to open a store in Paris,” he told us.
The newly launched store, located between the Jardin des Tuileries and Rue Saint-Honoré, is an extension of his Parisian home, with its coloured glass panels and the pink and gold that define his collections – all distilled in-store on furniture, fittings and displays.
The 130 sq m boutique will stock Arora’s ready-to-wear range, accessories and select pieces from his Indian by Manish Arora line, which, until now, was exclusively available only in India. The store will also have a curated selection of his favourite items such as Varanasi toys and artwork, and small trinkets that he has collected over the years. The back area of the store will be dedicated to exhibitions, showrooms and private events.
