A few weeks back Marc Jacobs’ piqued everyone’s interest with his new hashtag,#MalePolish to go with his “Mani Mondays” posts on Instagram. But when he responded with “Yaaaaaasssss!!!” on one of his followers’ similarly tagged selfies, it was final: men in nail-polish are in vogue and the fashion legend is not the only one who has been pulling it off. Rock stars have been pulling off black nails for years, but nail polish is no easy thing to for a man (guyliner will be far simpler). We dug a little and found a few men who are probably doing it better than most women we know – Johnny Depp even manages to make chipped polish a thing.
