Jacqueline Fernandez’s fitness trainer just introduced a killer new workout

If you’re haunted by the very thought of a treadmill, celebrity fitness expert Namrata Purohit is here to introduce a more fun way to get fit. Called Boogie Bounce, this 50-minute session at The Pilates Studio in Mumbai involves channeling your inner child to workout on a mini-trampoline.  While Purohit’s loyal students, Jacqueline Fernandez and Malaika Arora Khan haven’t tried their hand at it yet, celebrities like Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow swear by this technique for a full-body workout.

The cardio-heavy exercise starts with a warm-up and breaks into a series of jumps, bounces and stomps, all coordinated to the sound of the coolest beats in town. “Expect a calorie burn of about 700 kcal while you effectively bust fat, improve your body strength, stamina and balance,” says Purohit. Though it sounds like there’s going to be a lot of strain on the knees, Purohit comforts us to say it’s right for just about any age group since the impact of body weight is absorbed by the trampoline. There’s also a safety bar if you’re the clumsy kind and need additional support.
