There have been countless photo series and videos documenting the beauty of India. So photographer Neal Howland’s idea isn’t original, his execution manages to stir the soul. After finishing a tour around India recently, he found himself being faced with the question ‘How was India?’ repeatedly. He decided to answer it in the best way possible: A stunning compilation of all the footage he had captured during his tour in India interspersed by a haunting poem narrated in the background.
“In a land of sensory overload I’ve seen, heard, touched, tasted, and smelled more than I ever thought possible. Honestly, words fail me,” wrote Howland, captioning the video.
The video takes the viewer through busy, traffic filled streets to sprawling desert landscape of Rajasthan. It gives us a vivid look into the myriad of colours and sounds instantly familiar to any Indian at any time, while the voice of Osho urges us to not let our time here on the planet go to waste.
Take three minutes out of your day and watch this video with, as Howland suggests, the sound on.
