What do Gwyneth Paltrow, Cara Delevingne, Adele, Tanya Ling, Tracey Amin, Georgia May Jagger, Jerry Hall, Naomie Harris and Zaha Hadid have in common (besides being the sum total of our British girl crushes)? A customised Fendi Peekaboo.
To celebrate the launch of the brand’s new Bond Street address, these dynamic women were invited to take on the mantle of designer. With free rein to create their version of the Peekaboo, Adele went playful with multicoloured studs and eyelashes, while Naomie Harris’ poignant version featured the African map etched with the words ‘TRUTH LOVE FREEDOM’.
These one-of-a-kind pieces (a total of ten) are currently on display at the new store, which opened doors last week to a guest list of London’s swishest. Featuring a Baguette wall, a kinetic installation, a VIP fur room and a 5,600-piece chandelier, the brand’s new flagship is a retail experience. For those who can’t make a trip to the boutique, you can view and bid on the collection on Fendi’s site. Proceeds from the auction will go to the UK charity, Kid’s Company.
So ladies, bring out your credit cards; the auction ends May 30, and you don’t want to miss out.
