Powder blue, punk and statement-making capes, there’s a lot to look forward to in fashion, going by what we saw at New York Fashion Week Fall 2020. There were plenty of exciting trends on the runway and we’ve rounded up the best ones.
POWDER BLUE
Classic blue is the Pantone colour of the year but instead of the fail-proof shade of blue, designer labels like Self Portrait, Proenza Schouler, and Marc Jacobs picked a serene powder blue. It’s calm and a great way to skip the blinding neons and reds.

TRIMS WITH SOME SHINE
Autumnal tones can be a tad boring but you can add a subtle shine to your outfit with metallic trims. The ensembles from Baja East, Rachel Comey and Veronica Beard are great picks for the festive season.

PUNK
The new school of punk has fishnets, clunky boots, safety pins, tartan skirts and super cool leather pieces according to New York Fashion Week Fall 2020. Think of it as a revival of sorts led by brands like Marc Jacobs, Monse and R13.
