It feels like wedding season was crammed into one month, December, this year – from Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, and Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, to Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap, and Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, it has been a frenzy. Last evening, we witnessed yet another tear-jerking moment (or dare we say, moments) at #NickYanka’s wedding reception that was held for the media and close family of the newlyweds.

Addressing Jonas as her ‘husband’, the couple went on to give a lovely speech. She said, “This has been an extremely special chapter in my life and I wanted my husband to meet all the special people who have contributed to it. So thank you so much for being here. Friends of my parents, my mom who is hosting this wonderful evening and my dad who I know is here. Thank you so much for coming and giving us your blessings and I hope you have a wonderful time tonight. And this is my husband, Nick Jonas.”

We were already feeling warm and fuzzy, when Nick took the mic to respond to Chopra. “This is my first show in India. Thank you all so much for coming here. It wasn’t too far from here that I took Madhu out for lunch to ask if I could marry her daughter. To be here tonight with all of you, the people who have helped shape who she has become, means a lot to me. All of you have welcomed me with such open arms, so thank you for that.” Turning to Priyanka, he ended the speech with, “I couldn’t be happier with you.”
