Nicki Minaj just revealed that she is chiefly responsible for making an entire Indian village self-sufficient. The rapper and all-round generous human being broke the news on Twitter, admitting that she has been paying for the development of a small village in India for the past two years. Because of her help, the village now has a computer centre, a tailoring institute, a reading program and two water wells. Nicki didn’t disclose the name of the village in her post.
Minaj shared a photo of the villagers with this caption, “We complain about the most ridiculous little things when some ppl (sic) don’t even have clean water. Blessings to India. Our work is far from done.”
In another post that showed the women gathered at the launch of the tailoring institute, she wrote, “I’m so proud of our sisters in India. God is so good. Their desire was to have water wells & places where they can worship, places where they can learn technology, computers, reading, etc. We’re just getting started. These women are us and we are them!”
This is not the first time Nicki Minaj has been in news for her philanthropy recently. Just a week ago, she volunteered to pay off student loans for some of her fans, announcing that she’ll be setting up a charity to continue her work soon.
