Maximalists are rejoicing right now. Pantone Color Institute has picked a gloriously rich shade of purple as its colour of 2018.
“A dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, #UltraViolet communicates originality, ingenuity and visionary thinking that points us to the future,” according to an Instagram post from the company.
That’s not the only purple Pantone colour that made headlines recently. Back in the summer, the color institute dedicated a shade of the hue to Prince calling it “Love Symbol #2.
