Payal Khandwala opened her flagship store and studio in Mumbai yesterday. Along with showcasing her clothes, the space will actually feature a mural painted by Khandwala that she will continue to alter. The store will also feature artwork by the artist turned designer. The boutique’s opening marks Khandwala’s venture into prints and stocks her first print collection. A bevy of fashionable folk supported the designer at the stores opening preview in Colaba yesterday. Guari Shinde, director of English Vinglish, Audhna Akhtar, Nimish Shah and Priyanka Bose attended the opening in the designer’s creations.
