Yes, polka is the one print that’s recycled each season, it never goes out of style but, it can also get tricky. One wrong element and you run the risk of looking like a clown. Despite that, the runways were full of this happy print too. Designers like Carolina Herrera, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Batsheva and Marc Jacobs reimagined this trend for this season. And, the result was simple, sweet and sometimes quite striking.
Other than this, polka dots can be reassuringly classic and thrilling at the same time. This look can go wrong very quickly, as there are pitfalls too. With polkas, you can keep it modern by layering a monochromatic turtleneck or go the classic route and wear polka dot dress. You can wear traditional blouses fun with vibrant accessories (a bright colour will take you from the boardroom to the bar) or experiment with volume as well.
