Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been endorsing beauty brands for years now, however this star is quite picky with what she chooses to represent. For years, Priyanka’s main concern about the beauty industry has been that a lot of luxury products aren’t catered to people of colour—”Why the hell are we buying creams for ‘all skin types’?” she told ELLE USA. So, why is that when low-key skincare brand Obagi approached her to be the new face of their campaign she didn’t think twice?
Other than being one of her favourite skincare labels, the global icon trusts Obagi because it is far more inclusive and diverse than any other brand. Jonas will be seen in their first-ever global campaign which aims to highlight ‘skinclusion’, a vision the brand is truly proud of. “Each individual product has been tried and tested on all six Fitzpatrick skin types, as opposed to just one particular skin type. That makes you feel included,” she said.

The Fitzpatrick Scale is a numerical classification process that measures how each and every skin tone reacts to UV light and is a system carried out by dermatologists in order to determine the correct treatments for patients.
While the beauty industry has consciously tried to be more inclusive and diverse over the past few years, the skincare division still holds back. Obagi has been basing its research on the Fitzpatrick Scale for over 30 years now—something a lot of popular skincare brands should really consider!
In the same interview Jonas added, “It really should make other beauty brands sit up and see that what Obagi has done is revolutionary. If they have been doing it for 30 years, why is everyone else so far behind?”
If you thought Piggy Chops has no skin problems, then think again! After moving to Los Angeles, the actress started experiencing terrible breakouts and that’s when she stumbled upon Obagi. After a skin analysis and suggestions from the brand’s president, Jonas noticed a remarkable difference in her skin. It was actually love at first application!
PC isn’t the only celebrity that’s hooked on to this incredible brand! Alicia Keys and Drew Barrymore, among others, love this product too.
Obagi is available at leading dermatologist clinics across India.
