The Priyanka Chopra Nick Jonas engagement festivities kicked off on the morning of August 18 with a roka ceremony at the actress’s newly renovated bungalow in Mumbai’s posh Juhu neighbourhood. Nick’s mother and father, Denise and Paul Jonas, flew into the city on Thursday night to be by their 25-year-old son’s side.
The couple stepped out last night for a quiet dinner — if you don’t count the paparazzi trailing their every move.
Today’s ceremony kicked off early, with the bride-to-be dressed in a yellow Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla chikankari salwar-kameez suit, and the groom in a neat white kurta pyjama.
Custom-made decor bearing the initials of the couple decorate the bungalow’s facade.
The roka ceremony was attended by Priyanka’s close friends and family members, including Parineeti Chopra who returned from filming to be with her cousin.
The roka ceremony was followed by a grand party, which was attended by several Bollywood personalities.
Parineeti couldn’t be happier for her Mimi Didi.
Priyanka’s good friend Alia Bhatt made it a point to be there on Priyanka and Nick’s big day. Also present was Arpita Khan.
