The PUMA Jaab XT packs quite a punch

Record-setting boxer Mary Kom’s preferred training shoe lives up to the hype

The first thing you notice about the PUMA Jaab XT Trailblazer is its shape; available in two colourways (black and green) for women, the sneaker’s low boot silhouette is quite lean. An easy complement to everyday outfits, the shoe features slick metallic accents on the sides, a funky outer sole and the logo on the heel. However, as with any great shoe, it is the engineering and technology that makes this pair special.

Positioned as the ultimate training shoe, PUMA’s boxing-inspired Jaab XT Trailblazer has three key features that make it a pretty solid gym buddy. These are:

Sock-like structure

The flexible knit upper holds the foot in place by supporting the natural expansion of the foot during workouts. It’s also super breathable, which is great for longer and more intense sweat sessions. Its mid-foot lacing system gives you the option of tightening the shoe for an even more snug fit, if you’d like.

Easy to put on and take off, the Jaab XT Trailblazer adapts to the foot that wears it, for a more comfortable training session.

PROFOAM midsole

The midsole provides instant cushioning during your workouts, courtesy PROFOAM. This lightweight, highly responsive EVA foam technology makes the shoe even more responsive to changing movements, workout styles or intensity.

HYBRID foam midsole

PUMA’s midsole foam technology combines NRGY beads for instant cushioning and IGNITE foam for lightweight responsiveness and energy return—which means there’s even more give to this shoe, so you can make each training session last longer, and feel better.

The shoe is finished off with a zoned iced rubber outsole, with rubber wrap-ups, for support multidirectional movements. (P.S. The neon green rubber outsole that’s worked into the design of the green Jaab XT instantly makes it a lot spunkier and more fun.)

But don’t take our word for it; Olympic athlete Mary Kom trains in the PUMA Jaab XT Trailblazer that was basically developed for boxing (a workout that involves fast movements, precision and flexibility. However, the greatest thing about this cross-training shoe is that it’s an all-star—perfect for all kinds of athletes.
