The Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link in Mumbai was illuminated in pink for a beautiful cause

From October 10 to 14, visitors cruising through Mumbai’s iconic landmark, the Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, were greeted with a visual treat. The sea link was illuminated in pink by the Ogaan Cancer Foundation as part of ELLE’s Breast Cancer Campaign, and the resulting vision was astounding, to say the least. This remarkable step was taken in light of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Devieka Bhojwani, Vice President of Women’s Cancer Initiative, says, “Every 15 seconds, somewhere in the world a woman is detected with breast cancer. To create the importance of early detection, the Bandra-Worli sea link in Mumbai was lit up in pink.”

Encourage the ladies in your life to get tested regularly for breast cancer and highlight the importance of doing so among their friends and family. There are plenty of ways to get involved and do your bit.
