Everything Rihanna touches shoots to bestseller status, and that includes these disco ball boots which made their debut on the Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2017 runway. Not that Rihanna alone is responsible for skyrocketing these reflective beauties to the top of worldwide bucket lists; every fashion editor immediately anointed these boots as the shoes of the season the minute they made their first appearance on the runway. This despite the fact that the boots cost a dazzling $10,000 (approximately Rs 6.5 lakh).
Now, according to stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman, requests have been flooding in at such a pace that the stores have already created waitlists. Explaining the phenomenon, Roopal Patel of Sak’s said, “At Saint Laurent, the crystal diamanté slouchy boot had such an emotional response. There’s something to be said about glitz and glamour—it’s the boot of the season.”
Rihanna’s post of her pairing the Saint Laurent boots with torn jeans and a baseball hat already has over 1.2 million likes on Instagram.
