Salvatore Ferragamo Emozione hits shelves

Salvatore Ferragamo Emozione has just hit Indian shores (even though, globally, it was launched earlier this year). The eau de parfum is decidedly decadent and comes in three sizes, 30ml, 50ml and 92ml – if this last number sounds odd, it’s because it’s a nod to Ferragamo’s Champs-Élysées store, which opened in 1992. The bottle is ridiculously cute too; it comes with a dainty little bracelet strung along the neck. Did we mention it’s detachable?

The juice is pretty rich – it’s packed with the freshness of bergamot, powdery iris and velvety white peach. The middle notes are floral, with peonies and Bulgarian rose. And of course it has the lingering notes of patchouli and hints of white musk.

Also, the campaign is special. It firmly places Emozione in a cool league of perfumes that allude to a kind of grace that only comes with age. It’s been shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and stars 37-year-old Polish model-actor Malgosia Bela. It comes not long after we spotted Penelope Cruz in Lancôme La Nuit Trésor campaign and Cate Blanchett in Giorgio Armani Si. This is one trend we couldn’t be happier about.

Available at all Ferragamo boutiques,  Rs 4,400 (30ml), Rs 6,300 (50ml), Rs 8,400 (92ml). Ferragamo.com
