In November 2015, Justin Bieber told Access Hollywood that he would never stop caring about his on-off ex Selena Gomez. “I’m never going to stop loving her. I’m never going to stop checking in on her,” he said. A year later, they’d have a very public fight on Instagram—one that led to Bieber temporarily deleting the platform.
Since then, the public Jelena moments have been rare (the two in church the same day; Gomez complimenting Bieber for his One Love Manchester performance during a June radio interview), but the ice has privately been thawing. Gomez, who’s dating The Weeknd now, and Bieber, who’s maybe dating Paola Paulin, are apparently hanging again, TMZ reports. They’re just friends, hanging with mutual friends, and there’s nothing romantic about it.
Paparazzi photographed Gomez walking into her Studio City home Sunday evening 10 minutes after Bieber arrived there in his car (TMZ has the photos). They were with other people, the outlet details, and The Weeknd was reportedly aware. He knows they’re friends; he would’ve been there too if he wasn’t on tour.
Multiple sources told TMZ that Bieber and Gomez also hung out last week and first reconnected around the time Gomez announced she had gotten a kidney transplant.
