Selena Gomez is the latest celebrity to chop off her long hair
The 24-year-old singer has just revealed a blunt black crop
If there’s one thing we know here at ELLE, post-festival hair is one tricky look to master. After a few hours surviving without a mirror and a pair of straighteners at Glastonbury, Hideout and Benicassim, it’s not uncommon to convince yourself your mud-matted hair actually looks like Blake Lively’s beach waves. The fact you have twigs, last night’s vodka and coke and a fly-away clip dangling from the nape of your neck is just ‘by the by’.
Someone who knows a thing or two about post-festival hair care is Selena Gomez, who just unveiled a new hair do on Instagram. Yesterday, the 24-year-old songstress posted a photo to Instagram of her shorter, untoussled crop, wearing what appears to be a white dressing gown and barely any make-up.
The post has already received over three million likes from her fans, including her boyfriend, Canadian singer The Weeknd.
However, in a world where celebrities aren’t afraid to mix up their hairstyles with the help of a wig once in a while, Selena’s bold new look has got some speculating she might actually be wearing a wig, especially seeing as this is the shortest style the 13 Reasons Why executive producer has sported yet.
Either way, we’re loving Selena’s edgier new do.
